WHAT IS PERSONAL INJURY ?
“Personal injury” is the term used to describe an injury sustained by a person. It includes just about any occurring pain from whiplash, leg pain, to broken bones, fractures, sprains, that you, yourselves didn’t personally obtain. And these injuries can really hurt.
A personal injury can be minor in nature or much more severe.

– For all of adults the time limit is 3 years from the date of the accident.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE –

EXCEPTIONS TO THE TIME LIMIT–
There are exceptions to the time limit, those including:
– If a person you know has died within the three year period as a result of a wrongful injury – A claim can be made within three years, from the date of their death.
– Suffering from an illness you do not know about – You will have longer to make a claim if you prove that you could not have reasonably known you had suffered from a wrongful injury. Therefore, you will be given an additional 3 years to make a claim, from the date you were diagnosed with the illness. Such illnesses can include asbestosis (caused by lack of protective equipment supplied by your employer).
